Alex Honnold is a professional rock climber known for his free solo ascents of big walls. He is the first and only person to free solo El Capitan in Yosemite National Park and the first to free solo a long traverse of the Fitz Roy massif in Patagonia. He is also known for his speed records on the Nose of El Capitan and Half Dome.
