"Andrew Lipstein nails the humorous culture clashes between an expat American and his adopted Danish community. Reuben loses his job at NPR for exposing himself on Zoom, and his wife, Cecilie, is all too ready to spend the summer in her native Copenhagen. Reminiscent of the recent Danish film Another Round starring Mads Mikkelsen, in which a group of friends decide to drink heavily to stimulate their creativity, Reuben gloms onto Mikkel, one of Cecilie’s hypermasculine, antisocial friends. Cecilie, meanwhile, becomes closer with an ex who may or may not be terminally ill."
