Overstated: A Coast-to-Coast Roast Of The 50 States

"Standup comedian Colin Quinn has a thick Brooklyn accent, a passion for history and a serious commitment to poking fun at the absurdities of human nature. In Overstated, no state looks too good. The chapter on New York is called “The Quiet State with the City That Never Shuts Up.” In Texas, “the toxic masculinity is thicker than the methane from the cattle.” Quinn writes like he talks. And if you like how he talks, you’ll love this book. If you’re unfamiliar with his standup, I recommend watching either Red State Blue State or The New York Story before picking up this book.
And if you don’t laugh, check your pulse."
