"The slogan “Moxie Girls Fight Back” is a call to arms for all the girls who are slipping quietly through the halls, trying hard to be invisible. Vivian Carter is one of those girls, until one too many chauvinist incidents inspires her to print a riot grrrl-style zine – Moxie – in secret. The response is small at first, but then more and more girls begin to align themselves with the zine and speak out against the harassment that they face. Here is hoping it inspires all girls, quiet or otherwise, to take to the streets and demand equality."
