"The orphanage nuns have had enough of Magdalena “Maggie” Fishbone, so they send the spirited girl off to the Midwatch Institute for Wayward Girls to be “tamed good and proper.” But as soon as they’ve arrived, Maggie and the other two unfortunate girls dropped off that day see a teacher shoot fireworks out of the organ and realize Midwatch isn’t just about manners.
