The Loneliest Americans

"Jay Caspian Kang is a combative writer. When he’s not roasting upwardly mobile liberals for their lack of class solidarity or dunking on dorks who are far too invested in an Asian person being in a superhero movie (which, combined, make a pretty significant portion of the people who will probably read this book), he mostly picks at himself. The book is partly a look at what “Asian America” is today by way of the Hart-Celler Immigration Act of 1965. But it’s also a look at who Kang is (and who his half-white daughter will be) and having to be OK with that answer."
