"Maybe it’s the contrarian in me, but I’ve rarely embraced “how to” books. Ibram X. Kendi’s How to Be an Antiracist is such an exception that I may have to reconsider. It’s a lofty title and an equally ambitious goal, but Kendi really does guide the reader through the process of becoming an antiracist. His success may come partly from the book also being a memoir that draws from his own missteps down the path of antiracism, from his earliest years through adulthood. Certain to both challenge and reinforce the views of many, this book is one to read."
