The Correspondent

"This is the story of a 70-year-old woman – who I’m honestly not sure I really liked! – who had a distinguished legal career, a painful family life and is on the way to going blind. The book is told through letters and emails – both sent and received. There are letters between friends, emails with customer support and even some hate mail. I was a bit hesitant about an epistolary novel, but there’s enough going on in all the various forms of contact that some parts read like a love story, others a comedy of errors, and then there are some mysteries and twists built in that keep you engaged until the end."
