Clean: The New Science Of Skin

"James Hamblin knows his timing is awkward. He published a book that questions our cleansing rituals during a pandemic. There’s a line, though, between how we lather up to avoid disease and how we scrub down to feel clean. Where you draw it may help or harm the microscopic creatures living on your body’s largest organ. Who better to investigate than a doctor and journalist who hasn’t showered in years? I myself read Clean and tweaked my soap habits. The results were, at times, pungent, but at least social distancing gave me cover."
