Anon Pls.: A Novel

"The story of DeuxMoi – an anonymously run Instagram account that posts celebrity gossip items – is now a novel, written by its still-anonymous creator. In Anon Pls., DeuxMoi is Cricket Lopez, an overworked and underpromoted assistant. Her boss is a publicly lauded but privately heinous stylist, whose tyrannical behavior has grown intolerable. This burnout leads Lopez to start DeuxMoi as a release valve that gains steam overnight. The novel does a good job of exploring the motivations and land mines that come with running an account as popular as DeuxMoi. While holding A-list celebrities accountable is fulfilling, it’s a great power that comes with great responsibility."
