"Rock-and-roll memoirs should have lots of sex, drugs and drama, and Sebastian Bach’s 18 and Life on Skid Row hits all the marks. I was never really a fan of his band, Skid Row, but Bach’s memories of his exploits – from getting punched in the nose by (and then befriending) a Hells Angel to doing a mountain of blow with Metallica and having his grandma walk in – keep the story moving at a frenzied clip. But what I really found intriguing was his insight into the machinery, hard work and genetic luck that creates a frontman. (That said, he is a ‘90s rock-and-roll star: Some of his stories about women are hard to read.)"
